Overview
Liechtenstein's Token and TT Service Provider Act (TVTG), in force since 2020, is one of the most comprehensive token-economy frameworks, registering a range of token service providers with the FMA. As an EEA member, Liechtenstein also applies MiCA.
Regulatory framework
The TVTG defines token roles (issuers, custodians, exchange operators, and more) and a registration regime; MiCA applies alongside for in-scope crypto-asset services.
Licensing & authorisation
TT service providers register with the FMA; MiCA CASP authorisation applies to in-scope services.
AML & Travel Rule
AML obligations and the Travel Rule apply to registered providers.
