FOR COMPLIANCE TEAMS AND THEIR ADVISERS

One firm. One date. One signed record for your file.

The free library tells you what the rule says. The note tells your file what the register said about this firm on this date: checked, reconciled, signed, and with its limits written down.

Five working days. Fixed scope. No suitability conclusion and no recommendation to use the firm. The ESMA and EBA registers are public and free, so the same data costs you nothing. What the registers will not give you is a check that carries a name, a date, a reconciliation and a stated scope.

Why not just use the free tools?

You should use them. Read the article, search the register, check the fee. Then notice where the free tools stop: they give you the material and leave you to do the work, and nothing in them is signed or addressed to your file.

The free toolsThe dated note
Read the law and the register yourselfApplies them to one firm you name

Which one do you need?

One firm → counterparty note. A book of counterparties → portfolio check. A jurisdiction choice → licensing memo.

Scope firstCounterparty note
one firm, one register question, 5 working days; fee quoted after consultation
By proposalPortfolio check
up to 10 counterparties; scope, timing and fee agreed after consultation
By proposalLicensing shortlist memo
three jurisdictions, fee instruments and statutory clocks; fee quoted after consultation

The note fee is credited in full against any engagement signed within 90 days. Fees are quoted after a short consultation, fixed in writing and exclusive of VAT. Payment is by invoice on the existing bank transfer rail; there is no checkout and no subscription.

What you get

Included

The reconciled record

The register entry for the firm you name, read against the entity's recorded service scope and against any other entries the same group holds in the register. Where the scope recorded does not match what the firm presents publicly, the note says so.

Included

The judgement, and its limits

What the source settles cleanly, what it cannot settle, and what you would have to ask the authority to confirm. Written in the document rather than left to the reader.

Included

A signed document

Two pages plus a source appendix, signed by George Agathangelou and dated, with the scope and the limits of the evidence stated inside it.

Not included: a suitability opinion, a recommendation to onboard or avoid the firm, a legal opinion, a credit or sanctions check, or any conclusion that the register entry is current today. Those are outside the scope and, where they are regulated, outside the firm's permissions.

How it works

01

Tell us the question

Name the firm, the register, the service and the deadline. If you need an NDA before sending anything, ask for one; we will send it the same working day.

02

We confirm scope

One page stating what the note will and will not cover, the fee, and the delivery date. No work starts until you accept it in writing.

03

We check the source

We query the dated register snapshot, record the source row, reconcile the entity against its group entries, and mark anything the snapshot cannot settle.

04

You get the note

Delivered within five working days, with a short walkthrough if you want one. The fee is credited against any engagement within 90 days.

The row, and what we add to it

The row below is a real public-register entry, not a client file. On its own it is the free part: you can read it on ESMA's site. The note repeats it, then does the four things the row cannot do for itself.

FieldExample (public register)
Legal nameAMINA (Austria) AG
Home stateAustria
Recorded servicesCustody & administration; exchange for funds; exchange for crypto; portfolio management; transfer services
Authorisation date29 October 2025
SourceESMA interim MiCA register — snapshot 22 October 2026
LimitSnapshot, not a live check. Confirm current status with ESMA or the Austrian FMA before relying on it.

What the note adds

The additionWhat it looks like in the document
Entity joinsEvery other entry the same group holds in the register, with home state and recorded scope for each, so a licence held by a sister company is not read as this firm's permission.
Scope matchThe recorded services set beside the services the firm presents publicly. Where the register is narrower, that gap is stated rather than averaged away.
Date disciplineThe capture date, the dataset version and the exact source row, so your reviewer can reproduce the check without asking us.
Stated limitsWhat a register snapshot can and cannot establish, in the document, so the reader is not left to infer it.

A public-record specimen is available now: the two-page structure, the source appendix and the wording of the limits. Open the sample (PDF, 3 pages).

Terms in one paragraph

The note is a dated check of public sources, not legal, investment, tax or crypto-asset advice, and not a recommendation. It is prepared from the registers and the sources named inside it. Delivery is five working days from written acceptance of scope. The fee is payable on delivery and credited against any engagement signed within 90 days. The full terms are the terms of use and the scope letter; where they differ, the scope letter governs the note.
